Last week Cole, Carter & Chloe turned 5 weeks old.
They are doing great as always. They go off into the pasture everyday with all the adult goats and love eating grass. They also love to eat alfalfa hay in the morning.
I just fixed the creep feeder to widen the slats because Cole is too big to fit through most of the openings. So we enlarged all the openings just a little bit so as the babies grow they will still be able to go in and out of the creep feeder without a problem. I started filling the feeders in the creep feeder with grain and showed the babies how to get in and out. After about the 3rd day they finally started nibbling on the grain.
The still don't go in very much on their own but in another couple of weeks I am going to start separating the babies from their mom at night so I can milk Priscilla in the morning and hopefully that will make the babies a little more hungry for the grain.
They need to be eating grain and hay consistently before I even will consider selling them.
Here are some cute pictures of the babies. They are getting so big so fast.
