Tbone & Chuck licking his nose :)
Week 2 begins off with both of the calves still taking medication. You can read about what medications they are on here.
Once we had medications to give them I did a little research on their feedings. Come to find out I was not putting enough milk replacer powder in with the water to make the right amount.
So with that fixed and the medication given, Chuck, the brown & white calf is feeling much better and his diarrhea is finally going away.
Tbone on the other hand is still not doing as well. We believe he is a week or so younger than Chuck, which would put him at about 3 weeks old and that's why he is still having issues because his stomach is just not handling the milk replacer very well. We are hoping with time it will get better.
We are going to give both calves a full week to see if the milk change and the medication does its job before we do anything else.
Tbone - he's so little
Chuck - he's getting much bigger
They are both still skinny as far as I'm concerned but now that we have things right and hopefully when the diarrhea stops they will then start to gain weight.
Tbone, he sometimes let his teeth show and we call them his chicklets.

Check back next week to see how they are doing and if Tbone is feeling any better.
